"Leading small groups is the best way to create a personal interactive experience, where real conversations can happen. It allows me to adapt the tour to the group’s interests and energy. On my family tours, I try to spark curiosity in both children and adults so the whole family can enjoy a shared experience. One of my favorite memories was during a Louvre family tour, when an 8-year old bubbled over with excitement looking at Greek and Roman sculpture, sharing the story of Hercules and his Twelve Labors. The parents were amazed by how much classical mythology she knew. They kept asking, “Where did you learn all this?” They later told me they had seen their daughter in a whole new light. It was a beautiful moment to see this young person shine, and their parents beam with pride."
My favorite place in Paris to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon is on the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin.
