Tour Description
Monet’s Waterlilies (Les Nympheas) are the uncontested star of this gem of a museum. The artist’s famed series is installed in two breathtaking galleries that were once hailed as the “Sistine Chapel of Impressionism.” Monet, however, is only one of many treasures in store for you at the Orangerie. This museum is also home to the exceptional modern art collection featuring paintings by Renoir, Cézanne, Picasso, Modigliani, and Matisse. Your expert guide will take you through the development of modern art since Impressionism. This approach will help you to understand the innovation of Monet’s late work in context, so that your own experience with his Waterlilies will be a more meaningful one.
Your guide will bring your tickets, and together you’ll use a priority access line to enter the museum. There will be a wait for the required security screening, however.

L'Orangerie Tour
I had been wanting to visit L'Orangerie for such a long time so decided when I did go I wanted to make the most of it. I thought a guide would make the experience more memorable and provide information on the art I would see so I could appreciate it for what it was more. I can happily say this happened with my Paris Muse guide. . . . Walking among the paintings . . . with Yonit was for me very enjoyable. You learn how to spot an Impressionist painting and then how different artists on the floor painted in relation to this over time. . . I love art but am not an aficionado - so to learn why the paintings are special from an expert and not just like any other is a treat. Seeing L'Orangerie with Paris Muse was a highlight of my visit to Paris and I would happily recommend them.

A highlight of a Paris visit !
Any time I am in Paris, I always book a Paris Muse private tour. I’m usually with someone who hasn’t experienced it & this time it was my 16 year old granddaughter. She thoroughly enjoyed each museum visit & each guide was so personable & knowledgeable & made my granddaughter feel very comfortable as she was learning all about the Louvre, the Orsay and the Orangerie. Even I learned something new on each tour ! I feel it’s a highlight of a trip to Paris when I’m with Paris Muse tours !
Private Guided Tours - Worth Every Euro!
We were on our first ever short visit to Paris (from Australia) and wanted to make the most of our time. We did private tours of The Louvre, Orsay and Orangerie. Our 3 Paris Muse guides were all truly excellent, lovely ladies with a gift for imparting their knowledge with passion but in a fun and approachable way. We learnt so much and were able to ask many questions and were also steered towards tours at optimum time in terms of crowds and queues. If we return we will book their other tours. Unless you are already very versed in French history and art it is well worth booking with Paris Muse and you can always stay on in the museum after the tour has ended if you want to revisit certain areas.
