"I’m pulled towards the act of observation, of bearing witness. My work as a visual artist is deeply rooted in my background as a photojournalist. I spent years documenting untold stories in Pakistan and internationally. Those experiences shaped how I see the world: carefully, critically, and with empathy. Now based in Paris, my artistic practice continues to evolve. It’s more personal, and more focused on how visual storytelling can be shared and passed on. I feel most connected when I am leading creative workshops and witnessing people open up to the possibilities of their imagination.
As a guide, invite children and families to look closely, to slow down and discover the emotional language of visual art. I encourage even the youngest visitors to trust their eyes and respond with curiosity. It’s not about knowing all the answers, but about being open to what each work of art might say to you.”
I always return to the Bois de Vincennes — a green refuge in the 12th arrondissement, where the city fades and the rhythm of trees and paths takes over.

Sara began her career as a photojournalist, photographing for leading newspapers like The New York Times and exhibiting her work internationally. Driven by a passion for capturing moments that convey deep emotion and reality, she pursued a second master’s degree, a Master of Arts, at École des Beaux-Arts de Rennes. There, she researched and worked with cyanotype and pinhole photography, techniques which she later taught at the school. She also published a book titled Conversations showcasing the work from this project. Sara’s unique blend of documentary insight and experimental artistry enriches every tour she leads.
