Amy Huntington
"Storytelling is at the heart of my tours. I love engaging visitors of all ages in stories about how things were made, why they were made, and who brought them to life. It’s my privilege to share those tales with you, as we explore the city I love— so much so that I’ve made Paris my home. I especially enjoy turning the curiosity of kids and teens into enthusiasm for art and history. It’s my "kid-whisperer" superpower!”
My favorite place in Paris for souvenir shopping is La Mouette Rieuse bookstore in the Marais. Beyond books and other unique gifts for all ages, they have a charming café overlooking a hidden Marais garden.
Amy grew up in Alabama, studied in Chicago, and first fell in love with Paris as a student. After earning her M.A. in Art History from the Courtauld Institute in London and working at Sotheby’s in New York, the call to return to France was irresistible. Amy has now lived in Paris for over a decade, with her two children and their black labrador, Oberon. She’s written ten young adult novels, published in thirteen languages under her pen name, Amy Plum. As part of a neurodiverse family, Amy shares autism and ADHD with her kids and she is always happy to guide families with similar superpowers.
