"Strolling the streets of Paris is one of my favorite things to do. There are fascinating histories to explore in every nook and cranny! It's a city built for walking. In the 19th century, a term was coined for the type of person who aimlessly wanders the streets, observing the dramas of urban life: a flâneur. As an artist, that tradition is an important part of my practice. We can learn extraordinary, nuanced things from being in the place where events happened, where people from the past lived and moved. I really enjoy sharing that experience with my Paris Muse visitors."
My favorite place to stroll is along the Canal Saint-Martin, watching the colorful people on its banks. It’s lively on a summer evening, but blissfully calm on a winter morning.
