Tour Description
You and your family’s private guide will dive into the world of color at the city’s Museum of Modern Art, just a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower. This unique program uses the interactive educational method CoColor™ created by artist and educator Rosy Lamb. Through a series of easy, fun, close-looking activities, kids are inspired and empowered to discover their own color vision.
Your tour begins with the museum’s famous Dance mural by the modern master of color, Henri Matisse. We learn about the basics of color mixing using three primary colored pencils and hands-on exercises accessible to any age (no drawing skills required)! Next, we explore other gems in the museum’s modern art collection through a series of color matching games. A final stage of the tour asks families to collaborate on mixing the colors they see in paintings. You'll enjoy the art you’ve experienced together by locating paintings in the galleries, using three color studies made by fellow family members. Your kids will be learning the color fundamentals of modern art by trusting their own observations. And the entire family will be learning to “speak” the language of color, by “listening” to what your eyes see— inside the museum and beyond.
The tour includes a take-home CoColor interactive booklet. Your guide will bring all the supplies you'll need for the tour. Read more about the artist Rosy Lamb and her CoColor project here.

Incredible Experience
We had an incredible experience. Our girls love museums, but this tour took it to the next level. Our guide customized the tour as we went to meet their level of knowledge and interest, and my husband and I also learned a lot along the way. Highly recommend! It was one of the highlights of our trip.
