Tour Description

Travel back in time to 1900, and meet Impressionist artists like Monet, Renoir, Degas and Van Gogh. Our unique educational program will teach your children how the Impressionists experimented with the building blocks of art: color, line, texture, and composition.

Your family’s private guide will present a series of interactive activities to get your kids looking closely at every vivid detail. You’ll have so much fun playing the role of an art writer for our 19th-century-style paper Paris Muse News, you won’t realize how much you’re actually learning together!

The Orsay is one of Paris’s most beloved museums, and we want your kids to love it too.

Your guide will bring your tickets, and your family will use a priority access line to enter the museum. There will be a wait for the required security screening, however.

Accessibility

Wheelchairs, folding seats and usable canes in the museum can be made available. Baby carriages with a metal frame are not accepted in the museum. Strollers are available in the cloakroom. All these facilities are available in exchange for a piece of identification.

Wonderful to Have Our Guide to Ourselves

Kept the Kids Engaged at the Orsay

Our oldest (10) said at the end of the Orsay tour that, from now on, he will approach museums in a different way. He feels he’s acquired a set of tools that helps him appreciate the art in a new way. Both kids said they loved Henry and learned a lot. They’ve both been to many museums–but they said it was the most fun they ever had. They were surprised how quickly our two hour tour was over.

Excellent experience - Kids Tour, But We Learned a lot too!

I highly recommend the Paris Muse tour of the D'Orsay. We booked the 2 hour tour for families, and Madeline was our guide. She was EXCELLENT, and knew exactly how to teach the kids! They learned a lot and enjoyed it much more than if we had just looked at the paintings ourselves. Madeline was able to compress 100 years of art history into an easy to understand and appreciate timeline. She was engaging with the kids and very knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend Paris Muse and specifically Madeline. Thank you!!
