"Every Wednesday evening, I used to go to the Louvre with my friends. We would choose one work of art to discuss. Our challenge was to cover the whole museum, but since there are 35, 000 works, we never managed to reach our ambitious goal! These memories of sharing moments of pure wonder with friends remain in my mind today. The experience was crucial in my choice to later become a museum docent.
This amazement never left me and still influences the guide I am today. During a tour, I try to explore all the dimensions of art: its beauty, history, spirituality, and power. When you open the art door you open up not just a new field of knowledge, but an entire universe of discovery. Art can change you. My role is to give visitors the keys of comprehension to unlock their own door. When you leave the museum, you are not exactly the same person you were before."
My favorite place for strolling is the Marais district. Charming 17th-century mansions are everywhere. My favorite is the one that now is home to the Musée Picasso.
