Tour Description
Are you looking for a fun, meaningful way for your family to visit the Louvre? On this unique tour parents and children learn from the same works of art, but kids get additional motivation through Paris Muse Clues, our interactive treasure hunt.
Your family’s private guide will lead you on a scavenger hunt through the Egyptian, Ancient Near East, Greek and Roman, Renaissance Italian, and French galleries. But this is so much more than a skip-the-line highlights tour. We’ll focus closely on the Louvre’s most famous masterpieces, encouraging kids to make lasting connections.
Our program gives children (ages 6-12) an entertaining background to the history of art while sharpening their “detective” skills of observation. Their own answers to the clues lead them to discover an educational prize hidden somewhere under the Louvre’s glass pyramid.
Your guide will bring your timed and dated tickets, and your family will use a priority access line to enter the museum. There will be a wait for the required security screening, however.
Our cancellation and change policies are here.
Tour Teaser: Discover more about the Mona Lisa via the Louvre’s online kids series, “One Minute in a Museum”.
Accessibility
Our guides are trained to lead wheelchair-accessible tours that use the Louvre’s many ramps and elevators.
We can assist you in borrowing a free wheelchair on site, with your ID. We recommend this to visitors with limited mobility, since navigating the Louvre can be physically demanding. Please specify your mobility needs when booking online.
Children in strollers are welcome at the Louvre. Strollers larger than 55cm x 35cm x 20cm when folded cannot be checked during your visit. Frontal baby carriers and slings are allowed, but back carriers with metal frames are not.

My kids now love the Louvre
We loved our Louvre discovery tour. It was fantastic and so was our guide (Jacquetta). Our kids tell people that the Louvre was one of their favorite places in Paris – it’s not often that you hear that!
My husband and I also learned so much that we did not know. It was an amazing, joyful introduction to a museum that can be challenging to navigate and understand at best. This was the perfect family museum experience.

Best decision we ever made for a family trip to the Louvre
We had the best time exploring the Louvre with Tetiana on the Muse Clues tour. She more than met our girl's needs for knowledge and attention with good humor and patience. We all learned so much and saw so much more than the "greatest hits". . . I studied art history through grad school and my husband has no such background and we both got a lot out of the tour, but the very best part was witnessing our kid's excitement every time we turned a corner. Thanks, Tetiana, for a wonderful, special time. My daughter says, "Tell them it's a 10 out of 10!
Spellbound by Paris Muse
We booked the Louvre family tour and it was absolutely fantastic. My 9 year old who, like most 9 year olds, has a limited attention span was absorbed and engaged by Charlotte’s enthusiastic and clever descriptions of the history of the art we were perusing. He and Charlotte buddied up and we trailed behind with smiles on our faces. I would recommend this service to anyone who wants a taste of what The Louvre has to offer.
